Doble vida 2007

Permanent sculpture
at Forum Cultural Guanajuato. Leon, Mexico.

13 x 6 x 6 mts aprox. Aluminum and nylon

Since antiquity, the spiral has symbolized concepts such as fertility, movement or time. The growing and exact progression of the parts along the contour of the spiral of a seashell is the paradigm of cyclic rhythm.

The genetic basis of the human species is a progression and a combination of pairs with this serpentine rhythm. “Double Life” evokes the air, movement and continuous regeneration by way of the gradual descent of a double spiral.
