Osarios 2011-2013

Using real human fragments such as bones, organs and body parts, these installations and sculptures are intended to generate questions and reflections on death and the mutilation of the human body within the social and political conditions of Mexico; the endless violence that has erupted in recent years, the thousands of deaths that seem to disappear from the minds of those who govern, but not from the families of the victims. The repetition of such acts of violence in these human remains results in organic transparencies alluding to the ephemeral nature of life.
